represents the strong bond of love, unity and protection among the family, including extended family and loved ones. The love and support given to and by family is shown in this sculpture by the young fronds of the silver fern being lovingly protected by the older fronds which is the whole concept of the love and protection of whanau
Parent & Child
represents the love and protection given by an elder to a child. The nurturing and love given to help a child grow as is depicted in this design by the new frond of the silver fern being lovingly protected by the older frond.
